Luxury Cabin in Flagstaff
Standing two stories tall where the forest meets the golf course, this cabin in Flagstaff, Arizona is the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort, both inside and out. Phoenix-based interior design firm Earth and Images was tapped to bring the cabin up to date, tasked with preserving the country charisma while adding a contemporary touch.
These images by Arizona interior design, architectural, and Hospitality photographer, Austin LaRue Photography, prove they did exactly that: the bright white walls and sharp, angular lines offer a clean, modern canvas for the furnishings. Wooden floors mirror the high pine ceiling, and the wood trim surrounding the doors and windows further emphasize the woodsy feel of the cabin. The result is welcoming, simultaneously spacious and cozy; a perfect escape from city life.
Grand floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate the open concept of the the main living and dining area, flooding the space with natural light and providing an uninterrupted, nearly-panoramic view of the golf course located just steps away from the deck.
A stately wooden staircase with exposed metal railings offers a continuous view from both levels, and a large stone fireplace anchors the other end of the open living space. Similar stone, brick, and understated metal finishes are used throughout the house in countertops, tile motifs, and light fixtures to bring a luxurious earthy element to the vacation spot.
The kitchen, though tucked under the second-story office, gives home chefs the chance to do what they do best without missing a moment of action, with views in all directions and seating at the counter for company. A little further in, a quaint breakfast nook awaits, ideal for more intimate meals and a few cups of coffee in the morning.
Up the stairs, the highly-curated guest bedrooms invite visitors to unwind with the same bright, spacious, luxury-meets-simplicity aesthetic that the living area promised. The master bedroom, located on the main floor, is similarly decorated. It features an ensuite bathroom (complete with soaking tub) and direct access to the attached deck, which offers plenty of room for al fresco dining, grilling, and taking in the sights and sounds of the course with a drink in hand.
Vintage-inspired furnishings tie the whole look together, hinting at the cabin’s storied past without dating the design.
Great photography underscores the designer's vision and memorializes the aesthetic of a space in a visually pleasing way, making Interior Design and Architecture photography ideal for print and social media, portfolios, realty listings, ad campaigns, and more.
